
is a 1994 graduate of DePaul University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, he assisted in the creation of a civil rights unit to represent abuse and neglected children and supervised a juvenile courtroom before the presiding judge. Also, Matt served as staff counsel for the Department of Human Rights practicing in the area of employment law. Since joining Knight, Hoppe, Kurnik & Knight, Ltd., in 2000, Matt has acquired extensive experience in municipal liability, defense of claims related to sexual harassment, employer's liability, Americans with Disabilities Act, retaliatory discharge, and civil rights. Matt has also excelled in the handling of cases against park districts, zoning boards, highway departments, and county jails. Matt shares co-responsibility for the firm's in-house continuing legal education program and file management system. Matt is licensed to practice in the State Court of Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Central District of Illinois, and the Northern and Southern District of Indiana.
